SKMTerms of Service

These terms apply to SKM — the web app at app.skema.tech and the SKM connector for AI assistants at mcp.skema.tech (together, the service) — operated by skema.tech ("we", "us"). By creating an account or connecting SKM to an AI assistant you agree to them. If you use SKM for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
1. The service
SKM helps you build and analyse financial models. It is under active development: features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. It is currently offered free of charge, with daily usage limits. We'll give reasonable notice before introducing fees; nothing becomes payable without your agreement.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in details and any access tokens confidential. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including actions an AI assistant you connect takes on your behalf. Tell us at hello@skema.tech if you suspect misuse.
3. Your content
Your models, documents and data remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run the service for you, including sending them to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We don't use your content to train AI models.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, and that doing so doesn't breach anyone else's rights or any confidentiality obligation.
4. AI-generated output — not financial advice
SKM uses AI to read documents, research companies, estimate values and answer questions. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Models, estimates, valuations and answers are tools for your own analysis — they are not investment, financial, tax, legal or accounting advice. Check anything important before relying on it.
5. AI assistants
When you connect SKM to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, it can read and change the models you have access to, within the permissions you approve. That assistant is run by its own provider under its own terms; we aren't responsible for what it does with the information SKM returns to it. You can disconnect it at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Don't:
- break the law, or infringe others' rights, using SKM;
- try to access models, accounts or data that aren't yours, or get around permissions, usage limits or security measures;
- disrupt the service, for example by overloading it or automating it beyond its published limits;
- reverse-engineer the service, or resell it without our agreement.
7. Suspension and ending
You can stop using SKM and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk; where reasonable we'll warn you first and let you export your models. We may also discontinue the service with at least 30 days' notice.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of SKM's output. Our total liability to you is limited to NOK 1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for gross negligence or intent, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll tell you at least 14 days in advance; continuing to use SKM afterwards means you accept them.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes go to the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the agreed venue, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim where you live.
